Challenge 4 - Movie

Happy holidays!!!!
It's holiday in Indonesia, so I have the chance to go back home!
It's sooooo good to be home!! Sleeping in my own bed, eating my mum's food hmmm this is the life!

I am struggling with challenge 4!! Arggh!
So what we had to do was make a layout from Vicki's kit called Blue Moon, totally gorgeous kit! Then title of the LO must be from a movie. I am a total movie freak but when I had to pick one I get all confused and can't remember ANY movie! That is sooo terrible!

FINALLY managed to find a movie: She's All That, one of my fav movie and so I decided to scrap my sis's pics. I used my old camera and took the shots ages ago, but I love how the pics turned out.
Can't wait for the next challenge!

Challenge Number 3

WOW! It has been a truly busy week! I have had so much work in my office and no time for me and myself even in the weekend (I'm even writing this post at the office!). We have this massive project and all developers must come down and help. Yikes! We're all on a standby mode now!

OK, so I ALMOST missed Challenge 3! But luckily I didn't. This time we had to scrap something inanimate. Hard! I have never done that ever! So I was a little confused to find an object and I had two choices which was my favourite froyo or my name and Seoul in the sand. I chose the second, as I really adore that picture.

A little background about the photo, Seoul took it while we were on hols in Bali. I didn't know he was writing it in the sand, I think I was busy doing something else haha. I LOVE the photo...thank you darling for taking it!

I'm not really a lucky person when it comes to competition and winning. I rarely win anything!
But guess what! I won Vicki's second challenge with my layout Quentin is a Poser!
I cannot believe it! Literally jumping up and down! It's soooo fantastic! If you go to the gallery you will see that there were so many great layouts!
Anyways, I get to pick ANY kit from Vicki's shop and I chose Imagination, which I think is absolutely gorgeous and I cannot wait to scrap with it. I've been having trouble with the download though as my internet connection keeps going on and off which very annoying!

Cannot wait to spend some of my free time to do the third challenge. We have to scrap something unanimated! Really hard!!!

I have never done a scrapbook layout using a little kid, but I have always been curious. My friend has the cutest daughter and so I asked her for some of her photos so I could do some layout with it. At first it was hard getting the inspiration but I was surprised by the outcome. I really enjoyed doing this layout.

The little girl's name is Bilqiss but her mum calls her Ubil, which I think is a weird nickname (I told her and she admitted but everyone knows her by that name now, so it's a bit late!). Anyways hope you enjoyed it, I used a collab kit by Vicki and my new favourite scrapbook artist Nathan called A Day With You.

Challenge 2 :)

Vicki's first challenge was great and it was a new experience for me. I've always loved digital scrapbooking but never have I dared to enter a challenge as I don't have much confidence. I decided though that it's time to be brave and my lovely boyfriend has been so supportive. The winner of the first challenge can be seen here : Winner of Challenge 1. It's such a simple and great layout, I love it!

I really don't see this challenge as a competition, but rather as a "new school" for me and a new environment too. I love the fact that people are encouraging each other by commenting their designs. It's so very new for me but I'm enjoying it every second!

Anyway, the second challenge is that we have to scrap animals using Vicki's kits (we're allowed to choose). This is my design using Vicki's Fresh Breeze.

It's a picture of my poodle dog called Quentin, he is much bigger than this now but I love all his puppy photos. He is so adorable and can you just see the innocence in his eyes??!!! (He's not innocent at all though!)

My First Challenge

As I told you before I had plans on entering Vicki's Challenge. The kit was beautiful and I had it done last night. I started working at 10pm and only started getting inspirations at half 11pm! It's been a while since I wrote in this blog. I've been meaning to upload some of my work, but guess what a couple of weeks ago my EHD got stolen and so I lost all my work.
I am really gutted as I have all my scrapbook collections in there. But I'm over the sadness now and just trying to focus on making new designs :)

Tata!! Guck mein neues Scrapbuch Foto. Ich habe es ungefähr fast 2 Stunden gemacht(-__-)!.
Eigentlich habe ich keine Idee das Foto zu editieren. Ich habe das Foto gemacht, gerade nachdem ich aufgestanden bin, habe noch nicht gebadet oder die Zahne gebürstet hakakakaka.

Sie ist die Schwester von Hedda. Sie ist aktiv auch wie Hedda. Jeden morgen, habe ich sie in die Schule gebracht. Wir sind immer fast zu spät gekommen.. hosh hosh xD, aber das macht nicht.

Viele Aktivitaeten hat sie, zum Beispiel Pferdreiten, turnen, schwimmen, tanzen, fahradfahren, singen auch, und so weiter.
Ich glaube, sie kann eine Leichtathletik werden. Hahaha!
Julia liebt auf dem Trampolin zu spielen. Manchmal haben wir (Julia, Hedda, und ich) dort zusammen gespielt. Wir sind ganz hoch wie ein Vogel gesprungen. oder manchmal haben wir Fussball gespielt, oder manchmal "Monster" gespielt ;). Jetzt hat sie lieblings Artist, "Hannah Montana" sie sammelt alle Hannah Montanas Souvenir. ab die Poster bis DVD. Oh.. Kind. Sie hat Princessin Lilife und Bibi Blobsbert vergessen huahahaha..

Wenn wir die Hausaufgaben haben, wir machen das zusammen. Meine Hausaufgaben ist Deutsch, und ihre Hausaufgaben ist Mathe.. einmal, hat sie die Mathe vergessen zu gemacht, und sie hat geweint und gemacht zusammen..du arme!

It was my friends' birthday last week and couple of weeks ago..Lea and Gina...I miss them so so much especially during birthdays like this. We have this tradition where we would all go out for a meal and then afterwards a karaoke and get all crazy and stuff. It's crazy that right now we can't do it anymore and I don't when we will do it again! It's soo sad. But I do wish both girls happy birthday and hope they enjoyed their day.

So another bright orange picture from me...I love orange! Don't you? This photo is of me and my friends in the zoo. Ok so Jogja's zoo isn't exactly the best zoo in the world, and why were we there I hear you ask. Well honestly we've run out of places to hang out in Jogja...and we wanted to go somewhere else apart from malls!

Sisterly Love

This one is me and my little sister taken back a year ago (gosh has it really been that long??). This is us at the Taman Sari water park. One of my favorite places to go in Jogja. We went there to show mum's friend who, at that time, was new in Jogja.

Me and my sis rarely go out to places like this, we used to when were little and living in England. There were so many places to visit there and all had interesting history backgrounds!

This time I went for a really bright scrapbook kit. I think it describes the photo well cos it was really hot and sunny and bright! I love the orange and all the other shocking colours!

Happy Hour

16th January 2009 is definitely a day to remember. It was the day when me, Gina and Linz did our dissertation exam and we passed it really well. It was such a tense day. I remember how we were all scared and sat down in front of the faculty waiting to be called in the chamber of torture. Lisa came as well to support us, and as I recall she ate my snack...hahaha!

I had such a headache afterwards, I guess it was a mixture of happiness, relieved, and remains of my stress in the room. You could just feel the tension in our faces. Even Linz, who is probably the calmest of us all, were pale as sheet and you could see the fear in her eyes.

Anyways we did well, and the next day we waited for our results..It took soooo long, we got totally bored and started taking silly pictures of us three. We didn't even get the result till the next day! Who knew taking care of administration work could be so annoying and boring. We also waited for our dean to sign our dissertation, and we were all sitting down in front of his office. Hahaha...that was a moment to remember, I mean you don't get this kind of friends and experience twice in a lifetime so enjoy what you have now! And for you reading this who is still in uni, enjoy your uni life! Work is nothing like it!!

4 Friends

I have abandoned enough blogs, this one too. So even though I haven't updated it for a year (or more) but I really think this can be a good blog. I edited so many pictures over the year and a lot has happened this year.
One my friend went to Korea for a student exchange, then came back in December. 3 of us graduated, including me. Now we're working in different cities, me in Jakarta, the other one in Yogyakarta, and Linz is in Germany. Lisa just finished her dissertation exam, and will be working soon. I just cannot believe we've grown apart so fast!
I just don't know when we'll ever get together again. Not to mention I'm sooo far away from my other close friends and that makes me sad.

There's just a lot of sadness in me which motivated me to edit wonderful pictures taken with my friends. And over the year I have also improved my digital scrapbooking skills (I think) and I try to find as many freebies as I can, since it's too expensive for me to buy. Well, I live in Indonesia, if your convert the prices into Rupiah, it's quite a lot.

Anyways this is me and my 3 best friends, we've been friends ever since the 1st semester and I miss them all sooo much.

Kemarin kita ke Taman Pintar untuk tugas observasi. Waaaaa!! di sana indah sekali.
Apalagi Ruang Ekosistem Air Tawar. Kita bermain bersama ikan-ikan kecil yang berenang-renang riang di atas dan samping kami.......
Ga denk sebener'e ikan'e kayak ikan gurame ga jelas gitu dech...kita jadi membayangkan makan gurame bakar dan goreng sama sambel terasi di tepi pantai....ama nasi anget....ehem....kembali ke topik awal...

Foto ini sebenarnya untuk tutorial photoshop simix, kenapa aku pilih Lea? pose yang paling mendukung setelah aku cari-cari selama 2 jam dai depan , ya cuma Lea..hehe.
Walaupun agak maksa posenya.. namanya juga kepepet.

Ngedit fotonya gak susah-susah amat, cuma main brush aja..

Best Friend

This one is a picture of me and Herlin. We've known each other since my semester here in UKDW. Actually I've seen her before going to uni. We met at my church's camp, she was soooo scary and when I talked to her she was really quiet! At that time I thought "I'm so glad I don't have a friend like that! Wish I never see her again!"
But guess what? At our uni orientation I was shocked to find her in the same faculty as me! OMG! She was also in most of my classes! At first I didn't dare talk to her, but we became friends at the end of semester 1. Now we've been friends for almost 3 years and we've gone through sooo much! I remember a time when I got mad at Herlin cos my USB was in one of the lab's computer and was in a process of copying some data, and innocently she unplugged it! All of my data got ERASED!!! I was sooooo mad, I didn't speak to her for the entire lesson. She also got totally pissed on time when we were teaching a class together on Introduction to Multimedia. She was explaining something and I cut her in. I could see it in her face that she was annoyed! But we never stayed mad for longer than a day! It's just so funny to see that!

Singing

We love going to the karaoke. We go there at least once a month. There's not much going on here in Yogyakarta and karaoke-ing is definitely the best way to spend time with your friends. Also it's good way to see which friends are good singers (and which aren't) hahaha! Our favourite song (our MUST song too) is The Prayer. We get to show off our high voices which sometimes is very false and weird!
The people which I think have the best voice is ArD, Naga, Ino and Lea. I'm guessing they've had way more practice than the others. It's been a while since our last karaoke trip so we might have to do it anytime soon.....It might be just the right cure for those who are stressed-out with last minute works!
This picture is taken at the Happy Puppy Karaoke. Very nice place! Love it love it! This one we took just before we went home and I added some funny brushes...cute!

Me and The Boys

I really like this picture very much...cos I look like I have 4 fans hahaha...no seriously though, I love this picture. I think it was Herlin who took it, can't really remember, anyway she took it at Makrab about 3 weeks ago.
These boys are my very good friends. They're really nice and kind (and now they're gonna be big-headed after reading this post). Anyway the one on the top left is called ArD, he's very tall and big and scary (hahaha...just kidding). He's really nice and can be very very talkative when he's passionate about something (found out about this yesterday when he couldn't stop talking about Mac!). The one beneath ArD is Heryno... He's very obsessed with the camera. Whenever there's a camera you'll be certain that he's there too. He also likes to play with our mobile phones and take pictures of him with our mobile camera (as if we want his pics in our phones!). We call him 'grandpa' as he's old...hahaha
The top left one is Ferdi. I used to think he's very quiet but WRONG! He's totally funny...probably the funniest guy around...he makes me laugh all the time (Ya Jeng). And the one below Ferdi is Wayan. He's from Bali and he thinks he's very sexy with his six-pack body (!). He's one of the kindest guy I know...people think that he doesn't talk very much and that he's very mature but actually he's quite chatty and usually laughs at unusual stuff (hmmm?). He's a really good listener too.

I went to Agata's house the other day and found some of her jewellery work, one of them is a green neklace. Sooo....I activated Agata's web cam in her laptop and took some pictures while she wasn't in the room...hahahaha...

We went to a freshers weekend last week. It was so much fun. We stayed at Duta Wacana Guest House and we got to be in the same cottage as our best mates. We had such a laugh, though it only lasted 2 days. We took lots of pics...I think there were like 2 GB of pics!!!!!

Anyway I edited this using some things from www.shabbyprincess.com. They have lots of free scrapbook stuff for photoshop....but please note that their stuff can only be used for non-commercial things.

We are two people from Information System who are completely passionate about Photoshop. One of us is right now working as a photo designer at a Photo Studio. We both like to edit our pictures with Adobe Photoshop.
